Valencian Cinema. Recent productions made here. Venue: SGAE

Screening Valencian Cinema. Private sessions only for programmers of non-premiered films. They will be shown at Filmoteca Valencia.

The venues will be Aragó Cinema, la Nau, Octubre CCC, SGAE, Institut Français y Filmoteca Valenciana. Admitance will be free except for Institut Français (2€), Aragó cinema (3€) and the mall El Teler d’Ontinyent (3€).

91 total programmed films – 72 feature films and 19 short films – which 46 are Spanish made and 21 from la Comunidad Valenciana. Representing other Mediterranean countries there are 13 French, 4 Syrian, 3 Italian and Palestinian, 2 Egyptian, Tunisian and Moroccan, and one from SADR, Croatia, Libanon, Algeria and Portugal. Also non-Mediterranean countries will be represented, some in the cicle that will take place at the Filmoteca and others are short films, they were included because their theme or because they are co-productions. 3 will represent UK and USA, and one from Germany, Belgium, Mexico, Venezuela, Ireland, Canada, Iran and Australia.

30 form the 91 total films (33%) are directed by women.
